- From the Commander -
I want to thank every member of the Legion family, Legionnaires, Aux, and SAL for your support in 2011 and look forward to the same support for 2012. As you see we are having to make changes in some of our policy. Post Paid Dues and the Check cashing policy, the Check cashing policy will change immediately, while the Post paid dues change will take place with the start of the 2013 membership drive. I look forward to serving you for the remainder of my time in office.
Membership makes the Post. Participation makes it fun and Teamwork makes it successful.

- From the 1st Vice Commander -
As of 22 Dec. our membership stands at 446 with 383 paid and 83 not paid for just over 81% for 2012. Due to dwindling membership, active participation in the post, the rising number of members ( 85 ) over the age of 70 and the increased cost of maintaining the Post. Starting with the 2013 membership drive all members will have to pay their full dues. We will continue to pay the dues for the still living Charter members, ( 4 ). This action is being taken to help keep Topsham Memorial Post 202 a place where all members can come and enjoy themselves.

The Post had a great year in 2011. I'm looking forward to 2012 and all the events we do through the year. Thank you to all who helped out with these events. You guys made it happen. Special thanks to Joe + Jackie Toth for decorating the Post. ( Awesome job! )
Special thanks to Dawn Bourque for donating her time on Christmas Day, Brian Patterson, Larry Hazen and Dave Edwards for keeping up our Smoke Eaters. Thanks to Don Rahn for always helping out with the Pot Luck Tuesdays.
The Post is still looking for donations for our new floor, if you would like to donate a box of tiles worth $30.00 please call the Post and we will gladly put your name on the list. Lets get it done by spring.

Veterans who have appointments at Togus Hospital and need transportation can get a free ride through the DAV. The van runs Monday / Wednesday / Thursday from the local area. Call DAV Transportation toll free at 1-877-421-8263, ext. 5790 to arrange a ride. This service is door to door with no out of pocket cost to the veteran. If you want to get a DD 214 for your self or a family member call Ki. Veterans can contact Ki Owen at 623-7526 or 725-8223.

Hello Ladies,
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We have Friday night suppers this month, we need volunteers for the kitchen and 50/50 raffles. Thank you everyone who helped to make this years Christmas Party so successful. Another reminder that dues is $20.00 and must be paid to get a key card for 2012.
